Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice from fellow Jeep owners who have done modifications to their vehicles. I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that I've slowly been building up for desert driving and overlanding. I've added a set of four LED light bars on the roof and front bumper, a 9500 pound winch, and a small fridge that runs off the cigarette lighter socket when I'm camping. The standard battery that came with the car is still in there and honestly it's about three years old now. Last weekend I was out in the desert and I used the winch to pull out a friend who got stuck. After about five minutes of winching my engine started cranking really slowly when I tried to restart it. I let it sit for half an hour and eventually it started but I'm scared that next time I might get completely stuck. I think I need a more powerful battery that can handle all these accessories but I have no idea what to look for. I've been searching for experienced Jeep battery replacement technicians Abu Dhabi who understand modified vehicles and can recommend the right battery for my setup. Do I need a deep cycle battery or an AGM battery or something else entirely? Also I've heard that dual battery setups are good for overlanding but that sounds expensive and complicated to install. Can I get away with just one really good high performance battery or am I asking for trouble? And how do I know what size battery will fit in the stock location without cutting or modifying anything. If anyone here has a modified Wrangler with similar accessories please tell me what battery you're using and whether you've had any issues with it dying on the trail. I really don't want to get stranded miles from the road in the summer heat. Thanks so much for your help.
