A cricket pitch is 20.12 meters long or 22 yards. This is measured between the middle of one set of wickets and the middle of the other set. The pitch width is 3.05 meters but the playing area being prepared in the middle is normally made smaller. This dimension is set and adhered to in every game format, such as Test matches, ODIs and T20s. The standard size of pitch provides equality and uniformity in international and domestic cricket. Although the pitch could be different depending on the soil, grass cover and weather, it has the same dimensions everywhere in the world.
