Hoping someone here has dealt with this before because I'm getting mixed advice. My 2017 S-Class started making this dull knocking sound whenever I go over speed bumps or turn into a driveway, only from the front left corner. It doesn't happen on smooth roads at all. I took it to a tire shop and they said the ball joints look fine, but the noise is definitely getting worse over time. A friend who used to work on Mercedes mentioned that these cars have complex multi link front suspensions and that cheap fixes often fail quickly, so I should find a proper Mercedes Suspension Workshop Dubai that knows the common failure points on the W222 chassis. I'm trying to figure out if this sounds like a worn sway bar link, a control arm bushing, or maybe even a top strut mount. The car rides perfectly smooth otherwise, no bouncing or pulling, just that annoying knock that's driving me crazy. Has anyone replaced just one component and solved it, or did you end up having to do a whole arm assembly? Also worried about safety if something lets go completely while driving on SZR at highway speeds. Any insight from someone who's been through this would be awesome.
