I'm looking at a 2021 Mercedes C300 that's still under the original manufacturer warranty for another year. The car is being sold by a private owner in JLT and the price is decent. The seller says there's no need for an inspection because any issues would be covered by the dealer warranty anyway. He says I should just take it to Mercedes for a check after I buy it. But I'm nervous because the warranty won't cover things like accident damage, worn tires, or cosmetic issues. Also if the car has a rebuilt title or flood history, the warranty might be void. I found a company that offers Authorized Car Assessment Dubai and they can do a full check including paint thickness and frame measurements. Is it worth spending 600 dirhams on an inspection for a car that still has warranty? I'm leaning toward yes because I want peace of mind that I'm not buying a car that's been wrecked and repaired poorly. But a friend says I'm wasting money because the dealer would have already checked it. What do you guys think? Has anyone bought a warrantied car and later found hidden damage? Any advice would be great. Thanks.
